Kolab Project is on the cutting edge of Canada’s growing recreational cannabis market—amidst a saturated market and strict advertising restrictions, we built an immersive alternate universe where the Kolab brand and its products can freely live and extend into new realms.

Over the course of nearly two years, I helped develop the world of DIAMOND CITY, a retrofuturistic hellscape where Kolab products are a miracle fuel. The vast visual arsenal I built includes styled product imagery (made entirely from stock and sterile product renders), custom numbers and letterforms, a spam-filled interface-inspired ad style, and an ASCII-driven newsletter that revealed different cryptic messages depending on readers’ browser settings.

similar interface style for a cohesive look, no matter the quality of the photography.

Spam-fueld ad placements proved to be Kolab’s most successful ad campaign
